Formatting for iFiction

You need to upload your story as HTML, formatted how you'd like it to look. Alternatively, the software will accept a Word .DOC file and do a best-efforts conversion on it.

If you upload a .DOC or do HTML but don't use any specific fonts/etc., iFiction will use a default that should work fine. The only critical thing for uploading HTML is that paragraphs are marked (with the standard HTML <P> tag). If you upload a .DOC, it should figure out the paragraphing ok.

You upload it in two parts, the free part (the first, say, 25% of the story) and the pay part (the last 75%). You have to do this splitting yourself. Make sure you remove the free part of the story from the 'pay' file, else readers will have to wade through what they've already read.

You can re-upload files until you're happy with the look.
